dating: 1880 - 1886 provenance: USA, Barrel with company address in two lines at the back, on the left side, 'NEW HOUSE 41'. Bore needs cleaning, with visible rifling. Five-shot cylinder. Spur trigger, the loading gate tends to open. Working mechanism, but with some uncertainty. Hard-rubber grip scales with the inscription 'COLT' and depicting a scene of a policeman fighting with a criminal. Serial number '25xxx' on the bottom of the grip.
