Œuvres, ornées de gravures d'après les desseins de PRUD'HON ; la dernière estampe gravée par lui-même. Paris, Didot l'aîné, 1797. Large in-4 (316 x 238 mm) cherry half-calf, spine ribbed and decorated, gilt title (early 19th c. binding). Some rubbing.
A very fine edition illustrated by Pierre Paul Prud'hon: original etching by Prud'hon for Phrosine et Mélidore (""a true artistic curiosity"", ""the only engraving that the master undoubtedly made"" according to Cohen) and 3 etchings interpreted from his drawings by Beisson and Copia for L'Art d'aimer.
A few small stains. (Cohen, 133-134 and Suppl., 1085.)
