HAUDICQUER DE BLANCOURT (J.). NOBILIAIRE DE PICARDIE, contenant les Generalitez d'Amiens, de Soissons, Pays Reconquis, & partie de l'Election de Beauvais [etc.]. P., de La Caille, 1693 [with relay label on title: P., Osmont, 1699]. In-4 blond basane, gilt arms in the center of the boards, spine ornamented, garnet morocco title-piece, red speckled edges (period binding); (4) ff. 580 pages misquoted 578 [in fact 570, pages 362 to 371 missing and pages 414 and 415 doubled]. Spellings on the boards, split at one of the spine ends, small leather tears at the lower spine and nerve, missing headpieces. Old handwritten bookplate on the 1st blank page: " Remerville St Quentin ". ORIGINAL EDITION with relay label with the date of 1699 on the title leaf. The pagination jumps from 361 to 372 because the notice on the Moreau d'Estavigny family has been entirely deleted as in most copies (see the notices of Saffroy and Bourgeois & André). A copy of Joseph-François de RÉMERVILLE (1653-1730), sieur de Saint-Quentin, historian, poet and polemicist from Provence, with his autograph signature at the head of the work. An AUTOGRAPHIC NOTICE of 3 pages has been pasted on the 1st blank page: it bears the arms of the Marquis François de Ripert-Monclar (1841-1921) who is the editor. He explains in particular that this "copy is very precious" because of its provenance and that he had the iron of the abbé de Monclar, which he had "found in the family's ironworks", stamped on the covers of the work. ¶ Saffroy, II, 31812 - Bourgeois and André, SHF, 1385.
