Rare first edition of this complete treatise on the service. Etienne was a former officer of the English embassy and officer of the Princess of Bagration in Paris. Autograph signature of the author in volume II. Volume I, 2 plates from the Classiques de la Table have been added (including a folding frontispiece). Some foxing.
