Directoire table clock. Paris circa 1800, by Jean Antoine Lépine (1720-1814). Rectangular mahogany case glazed on four sides, with gilt bronze applications. Inscribed enamel dial "Lépine / Rue des Victoires No. 12." The back plate also marked "Lépine à Paris No. 4393". Brass lock disc movement, with half hour and hour strike, on a bell. Function not tested.Jean Antoine Lépine became master in 1756 and appointed "Horloger du Roy " in 1765. Depth: 21cm Width: 26cm Height: 45cm
