Fernandino bench; Spain, early 20th century. Walnut or oak wood with silk upholstery. Measurements: 93 x 217 x 60 cm. Fernandino bench with a structure in walnut or oak wood decorated with a protruding ornamentation in the central part. The arms are smooth and rounded, and the legs are turned. The Fernandine style is the style developed in the decorative arts - especially furniture - in Spain during the reign of Ferdinand VII (1814-1833). It succeeded the Empire style and preceded the Elizabethan style.
