Pair of vases. France, 19th century.
Biscuit and bronze.
Measurements: 45 cm. high.
Pair of vases in biscuit, mounted in bronze. They have an ovoid body decorated with reliefs representing putti and eros carrying arrows, baskets of flowers and burning torches. The base of the belly is ornamented with gadroons, and sensuous festoons surround both necks. The vases rest on bronze feet, incised with vegetal fretwork. The handles, in a stylised geometric design, are also bronze.
