Man Ray's elegant portrait en profil of the sophisticated, self-confident young woman, who had an exhibition that year in Galerie Georges Bernheim, appeared on the cover of the magazine Paris-Montparnasse, edited by Henri Broca, in the issue of 15 November 1929.
