Southern Morocco, Ouarzazte or Taliouine region, 19th century at the earliest. Made of silver, composed of two fibulas linked by a quadruple chain decorated with several elements. The almond-shaped fibulas with poly-lobed contours are decorated with yellow and blue enamels, silver pinheads, a large silver filigree dome partially enameled, under which shines a red glass cabochon cut. The pin and the rings are welded to the reverse by a long metal rod that runs through the fibula on both sides. The quadruple silver chain is adorned at its ends with a compartment with enamel and filigree decoration on both sides, and enhanced with a red glass cabochon cut on the obverse. Eight silver balls punctuate the chain, which is also decorated with a diamond-shaped element with cut sides in gilded silver, intended to receive perfumed ointments. In the center, a four-lobed enameled silver filigree, embellished with colored glass cabochons on both sides, is associated with a new openwork gilt silver element and a hook decorated with a four-leaf clover plate. L. 85 cm. P. B. 312 g. Provenance: Collection of Mrs. R., resident in Morocco, from 1950 to 1970.
