Morocco, Southern High Atlas, Talsinnt region, 1714-15 and 19th century
Comprising a metal pectoral and a pair of metal earrings.
- The pair of ear pendants consists of a flattened loop chiseled with undulating patterns embellished with four dots arranged in a diamond around an X, and supports four pendants with three levels chiseled and nielloed. Very old patina giving a golden aspect to the jewel. Stamped and dated (1)127...H. (= 1714-15). Height. 19 cm
- The pectoral called "Taseddit" consists of a double chain supporting six pendants with four levels chased and nielloed. This old model has the particularity to carry at the ends of small plates in the shape of hand of Fatma stylized at the point to resemble "mihrabs". Height. 30 cm
