Art Nouveau brooch on a silver Jugendstil type mount in iridescent glass paste showing a bat with its wings spread.

With this example of materials, we are in the presence of a jewel of the first phase of Art Nouveau, the most marked, around 1895. Very similar bats were produced on decorative objects in Germany, Belgium and France.
