The letter of the Russian social revolutionary and utopian socialist in exile P. Lavrov recommends to the French socialist E. Vaillant his "compatriot le citoyen Vitline" in need of advice and if possible support. The addressee in turn forwarded this recommendation to J.-L. Breton with a new cover letter. - P. Lavrov (1823-1901), who also published under pseudonyms, left Russia after years of exile and had considerable influence on the "revolutionary intelligentsia". An important representative of the First and Second Internationals, he was acquainted with Karl Marx and wrote philosophical texts. - Somewhat finger and brown stained.
