SET OF TEN CHAIRS AND TWO ARMCHAIRS IN THE STYLE OF THE 17TH CENTURY. Spain. Date: Presumably 19th century. Technique: Walnut, debossed leather, brass. Description: Turned, strutted legs, straight seat and backrest with curved top. Leather covering with putti and floral motifs. The sides studded with large, decorative brass nails. The shapes and decorative elements slightly differing. The armchairs each with coat of arms under a cardinal's hat. One of the two dating from the 19th century. Measurement: Chairs: Height 125/131cm, height seats 49cm, debth seats 41/44cm/ armchairs: height 139cm, height seats 49cm, depth seats 49cm. Provenance: Private collection Lower Rhine region.
