Table with duckboard, inscribed with peppercorns resting on three tripod legs in black lacquered steel. Signed. A certificate will be given to the buyer. Tafel Dienblad van hars, ingelegd met peperkorrels, rustend op drie driepootjes van zwart gelakt staal. Getekend. Een certificaat zal aan de koper gegeven worden. Circa 1990. H.74 cm W.117 cm D.124 cm Chale is one of those craftsmen whose creative act is total: he invents, he realizes, he harmonizes. He perfects, he invents again... His life merges with his thought of creator, with his hands which prolong his thought. His eye directs. His successes are the fruit of his inventive spirit and the rigor of his manufacturing. A Chale table is an irrational universe whose forces have been put in place by sensitivity. The evidence of this universe had imposed itself to the craftsman: the work exists and since imposes itself to us by the sensual organization of the looked and touched matter. Chale distracts us from the conversation. At the luxurious table, he makes us follow with our finger the meanders of the drawing and count the pearls and the crystalline stones. Reverie...
