Rare ceremonial knife representing a long-tailed animal.
The head and the legs are delicately freed from the gangue of the obsidian core. The back of the animal is rounded and its long tail serves as a blade.
These knives were found among the funeral offerings of warriors, associated with pottery. Two similar models are kept at the Art Institute of Chicago under the reference: 1997.362.1.
