Belgian, although born in Cologne (Germany), I spent my first eight years bathed in the atmosphere of Grimm's Fairy Tales. In 1963, the family emigrated to Belgium, to Waterloo. After classical studies, I chose to study interior design (St Luc and La Cambre). In 1976 I branched out into comics in the "R" (as in Dream) workshop, directed by Claude RENARD (St Luc BXL). A dynamic workshop with strong personalities. In 1978, Didier PLATEAU and Jean-Paul MOUGINS, members of our graduation jury, were looking for authors for their new magazine published by CASTERMAN : (to be continued). This is how it all started for me! Summer 2020. I'm invited to participate in United Comics of Belgium, an exhibition initiated by the Belgian Comic Strip Center. I owe this invitation to Séraphine, comic book author and ... proofreader of my graphic novel Banal Canal. Séraphine is one of the 9 curators of this exhibition planned for December 020 and postponed to April 2021 because of COVID 19. Presentation of 26 projects, testimonies of the vivacity of the Belgian creation.
The ORIG-AMI is a cardboard shelter measuring 117 x 235 x 150 cm. It is insulating, protective due to its structure, foldable like an accordion, transportable like a backpack and recyclable. The homeless shelter was designed on the principle of origami, a Japanese technique of paper folding.
