Diary of Leo Wolle, a resident of the Lodz ghetto, from January 1, 1942 to March 3, 1943.
This diary is in the form of an account book with debit-credit columns (winien-ma).
It is composed of a first part, essentially composed of accounts with brief annotations mentioning events from January 1, 1942 to September 19, 1942.
A second part develops his impressions in the form of short sentences that describe the events he experienced in the ghetto. He depicts his daily life through images and allusions, referring to the living conditions, the roundups, the presence of the police, the fate of his relatives and his state of health. The following names are mentioned several times: Cytrynowicz, Kapelusznik, Najman, Szteinfeld, Grynsztein.
