Rare suite of five circular medallions in walnut carved in bas-relief representing portraits of royal characters of the court of Spain, France and Spain in carved wood frames partially rechampi gold of acanthus leaves and laurel leaves enrubannées. 18th century (restorations) Diameter : 55 to 60 cm Note : it would probably be Charles II and his first wife Marie-Louise d'Orléans, Louis XV and his wife Marie Leczinska, and, finally, Maria Theresa, archduchess of Austria, as empress of the Holy Roman Empire. Provenance: according to family tradition, were given by Guy de Rothschild and would come from the castle of Ferrières
