BARTHELEMY [Auguste], MERY [Joseph]. Napoleon in Egypt, poem in eight songs. Seventh edition. [Followed by: ] The Son of Man, or Memories of Vienna. Paris, Ambroise Dupont et Cie, Libraires, 1828 - Brussels, s.n.e., 1829. 21 x 14 cm, 303-45 p. and an engraved frontispiece. Two works bound in one volume, full dark green calf, boards framed with a gilt fillet encircling a cold decoration, spine with 4 false nerves richly decorated, gilt fillet along the edges, marbled edges. The first eight editions of Napoleon en Égypte were all published in 1828. The Son of Man is illustrated in the frontispiece with a portrait engraved by Green; it is a Brussels counterfeit from the year of the original (Paris, chez les marchands de nouveautés). Good general condition despite small tears in the binding, some light and scattered foxing. Quérard, VI, p. 82 - Escoffier, 1081 for a later edition.
