Three letters concerning the order of Saint-Michel, printed headers marked: "Orders of the King" with vignettes representing the cross and the collar of the Holy Spirit:
- Letter of appointment of Mr. Chaussier, doctor of medicine in Paris, dated January 15, 1820.
- Letter of delivery of the insignia of Saint-Michel to the same, dated January 15, 1820.
- Letter signed by the knight Tiolier Nicolas Pierre, bailiff of the order of the King... who recognizes that Mrs. Chaussier widow has, on the requisition that I made of it, on the 17th of the 1st month, made me hand over the cross of which had been decorated the late Mr. Chaussier, doctor, professor in the faculty of medicine, titular member of the royal Academy of medicine... Done in Paris, July 20, 1828; dry stamp with the arms of France.
Attached is a printed list of the knights of the order of Saint-Michel, instituted in 1469. These knights, fixed at one hundred, in 1665, in addition to those of the Holy Spirit, living on January 1, 1820; 50,5 x 39,5 cm.
