Commemorative medal of the Campaign of Mexico: 1862-1863 of Napoleon III, variant "Hundred Guards" in silver mounted in original pin.
Medal of round form, by Désiré-Albert Barre, on the face, the head of Napoleon III left profile, circled by "Napoleon III Emperor" surrounded by a laurel wreath. On the reverse: the inscription Expedition of Mexico: 1862 - 1863 also surrounded by a laurel wreath, in the center the battles of Cumbres, Cerro-Borrego, San-Lorenzo, Puebla, Mexico. The whole is surmounted by the Emperor's crown.
Of 1863: Stamp head of eagle in a rectangle (it is the different of the engraver general Barre).
