A rosewood veneered chest of drawers with boxwood fillet, opening to five drawers on three rows. It stands on small curved feet. Period: Louis XV. Stamped : P. Roussel with J.M.E, hallmark of the jury. Beautiful ornamentation of gilt bronze such as handles, entries of locks, lamp-heads and falls. Top of red breccia marble with groove (small accidents and missing veneer, restorations of use to the chest of drawers, top of marble) H : 84 x W : 130 x D : 65 cm Roussel (1723-1782) Cabinetmaker. Mastered on August 21, 1745. A very skilful maker, Roussel left an abundant and diverse production of excellent quality.
