ALBERT DAMMOUSE (1848-1926) CERAMIST IN SÈVRES & CARDEILHAC MASTER GILDER IN PARISDahlia , clovers, snails and fire potOriginally mounted high baluster vase. Proof in polychrome enamelled ceramic decorated with dahlias in a rotating frieze on the shoulder. The base in metal (re)gilded with motifs of gastropods, the cap, also in metal (re)gilded, topped by a fire pot. The gilding redone. Monogrammed A. D. and located Sèvres on the back of the ceramic vase (visible once disassembled). H. 29 cmNote: A vase by Taxile Doat, with a base (with gastropod motifs) identical to our vase and bearing the stamp Cardeilhac Paris D235, is kept at the Detroit Institute of Arts, USA under the inventory number 2010.11 .
