Gilded bronze statue of Shakyamuni Buddha, shown seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base with beaded edges. He is wearing a long robe covering his left shoulder and elegantly gathered in cascading folds at his feet. His face has a serene expression, with half-closed eyes and downward gaze, topped by arched eyebrows. The fleshy mouth is marked by a slight smile, the ears comprising long stretched lobes, the hair arranged in consecutive circular bundles and covering the ushnisha. Apocryphal mark of the Yongle emperor incised on the base. CHINA. H : 21 cm
