Koran in its leather bag Sub-Saharan Africa, 20th century Arabic manuscript on paper, unbound folios, text of 12 to 14 lines per page in brown and red ink, in sub-Saharan Chadian script, with some marginal drawings. End of verses marked by three circles. Leaves stacked and held by two cardboard plates forming a cover, and surrounded by a leather strap ending with a shell. Stiff leather case with flap and string. Some pages torn, accidents (not collated). 23,5 x 18 cm x 10,5 cm. Case : 20,5 x 24,5 cm
