Bush Honey (Sugarbag), 1996
Acrylic on canvas - 87 x 48 cm
Warlpiri Group - Lajamanu - North Central Desert
Benny is inspired here by an important theme shared by Arnhem Land, Kimberley and Central Desert insiders alike.
Sugarbag is a name used both for the honey made by the bees and also for the sweet nectar that comes from the large yellow flowers of the "tarrkarr" trees.
