Exceptional historical decoration of the Soviet order Alexander Nevsky to the number 18941 with its booklet of attribution to the name of General Pierre Matras (1914-1998), ace of the French Hunt (9 victories including 8 on the Eastern Front). He commanded in 1944/45 the 3rd squadron of the Normandy-Niemen regiment. Of the 42,165 recipients of this decoration for officers, only 70 foreigners were awarded this prestigious decoration, including only 6 Frenchmen, all of whom were Normandie-Niemen pilots.
