SENNEH carpet (Persia), late 19th century
Dimensions : 190 x 140cm.
Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on a cotton foundation.
An ivory field supports a hexagonal anthracite crenellated counter field, itself adorned with an ivory medallion, also hexagonal and crenellated and its stylized pendants. The whole carpet is covered by an inextricable trellis of multicolored flowers. Two counter borders with garlands of flowers frame the main brick with interlacing vegetal pastel. Nice set.
