Pair of KACHAN rugs (Iran), 2nd third of the 20th century
Dimensions : 208 x 142cm and 210 x 135cm.
Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on a cotton foundation.
A lozenge-shaped brick medallion, with accolades, with a cruciform ivory crenellated heart, and these pendants, is placed on an oblong navy field with a rich polychrome plant decoration. Four spandrels of brick color complete the whole. Two counter borders with flowers frame the main marine interlacing flowers blooming head to tail.
