Fine and original carpet from Tehran (Persia), late 19th century Dimensions : 195 x 135cm. Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on a cotton foundation. Ivory background, oblong and arabesque, with large central medallion ruby and bluish gray in the form of a gem, adorned with its two pendants and framed by, which makes this carpet a curiosity, vine stocks with clusters of grapes. Four floral spandrels garnet and bluish gray frame the whole. Six counter borders with checkers and floral garlands surround the main midnight blue with a series of ramifications.
