This pair of bronze busts linked by a chain at the level of the head, the seat of spiritual power, bears the name of Edan, the insignia of belonging to the Ogboni society (Ijebu region). The Ogboni, constituted by the elders of the city, forms a counter power to that of the king. Beautiful patina of use.
