Maori Tewhatewha club
New Zealand Wood, shell
H. 130 cm
The shaft of the long cylindrical handle supports the representation of a stylized tiki head.
The top of the weapon, in the shape of a quarter circle, has a hole originally intended to receive a feather tuft. This two-handed club, reserved for warlords, was also used as a banner.
