Statue Sepik River, Papua New Guinea Wood H. 42 cm Provenance : - Peter Man Collection, acquired in situ in 1967 - Todd Barlin, Sydney - French private collection Sculpture featuring a male figure standing with his arms along his body. The feet merge into a solid base from which three small hooks emerge. This figurine seems to be covered by a mask with a long curved nose, characteristic of the region, representing the Barak spirit.
