STATUE OF BUDDHA in alabaster, formerly lacquered brown and gold, represented seated in the position of taking the earth as a witness, hands in bhumisparshamudra, wearing the monastic robe leaving part of his torso uncovered, half-closed almond-shaped eyes, elongated earlobes, hair surmounted by the ushnisha and adorned with a curly cap.
