Second board stained with disappearance of the central finial, light marginal spotting, mold stains (more marked on the last ff. of the second part) which did not alter the quality of the paper. ORIGINAL EDITION of this rare work dedicated to Queen Christine of Sweden. It contains an allegorical portrait-frontispiece and 103 steel engraved plates representing cameos, seals and other sculptures on precious stones, crystal, horn, metal, etc. A VERY GOOD EXAMPLE, despite the reported defects, in a solid contemporary binding. ¶ Brunet, I, 682.
