Good proof on glazed vellum, dedicated "To Georges Cain" and signed in pen and ink (old inscriptions slightly rubbed). Tears of 25 mm at the left edge, penetrating slightly into the subject. Slight rippling at the edges of the folio. All margins.
Georges Cain (1853-1919) was a French painter, illustrator and writer who wrote about the history of Paris and its monuments. He was curator of the Carnavalet museum from 1897 to 1919.
