Beautiful proof on watermarked laid paper (grape within a double circle), trimmed to the plate and window mounted, of the 2nd state (of 3), before replacement of the papal tiara by the arms of the Duchess of Aiguillon and before modification of the arms in the lower left corner of the subject, the word "Haeresis" erased. A large light freckle under the rock.
