Allegory in honor of the Roman College. Burin after Peter of Cortona. 367 x 280. Préaud 253. Very nice proof on watermarked laid paper (anchor in a circle - 17th century Roman paper), of the 2nd state (out of 3), before erasure of the word "Romae" and before the crest decorated with a fountain. Small dot of black ink in the ground in the foreground. Slightly perceptible thinning on verso. Ex-coll. Friedrich August II (Lugt 971).
