Desk box; second half of the 19th century. Ebony and mother-of-pearl. It has flaws in the veneer and cracks. No key. Measurements: 14.5 x 24.5 x 35 cm. Desk box, of a portable nature, made of ebony wood and mother-of-pearl. The piece has a trapezoidal structure with straight, simple lines, the exterior of which is decorated with mother-of-pearl, the colour of which is sober black. The desk has two hinged doors, one on the outside, defined as the top, and the other on the inside, which gives access to a small drawer. Both give way to a compartmentalised interior. This stands out for its different staggered spaces, useful for storing documents and for the finishes used, thus presenting several areas lined with matting, which allows for greater comfort in the use of this piece as a desk. The piece has a simple decoration based on the qualities of the material.
