Bernard Pierre Magnan, marshal of France (1791-1865). Present at Waterloo (1815), he then participated in the expeditions to Spain (1823) and Algiers (1830). He fought the insurrections of June 1848 in Paris and June 1849 in Lyon. He participated in the coup d'état of December 2, 1851. He was appointed Grand Veneur in 1852.
