[Edward BERNAYS (1891-1995) was the son of Ely Bernays, brother of Freud's wife
Martha; his mother Anna was one of Freud's sisters.
He was born in Vienna, but his parents emigrated to America. Edward
Bernays was a journalist, and a prominent figure in American advertising and propaganda; Freud counted on him to spread psychoanalysis in America].
He thanks him for sending issues of the Bnai Brith News, which he has put in his archives. Then he took stock of their accounts, still owing him $310.
He informed him that he now had only one account at the Anglo-Austrian Bank in London, and Edward was therefore listed there under Freud's name, and it was this address that should be given. Their letters crossed...
