FOUR BANG CHIANG VASES
DATE: 600-300 BC.
MATERIAL AND TECHNIQUE: brown purified clay, white mottling, red paint, molded by slow lathe.
Two ollae with everted rim, cylindrical neck with concave profile, globular body, flat bottom; a large vase with flared rim, long cylindrical neck, truncated cone body, convex bottom; vase on wide foot with truncated cone body
DECORATION: all decorated with stylized geometric or phytomorphic motifs, one with horizontal bands with human figures lying down.
PRODUCTION: Thai pottery, Bang Chiang culture.
STATE OF CONSERVATION: mostly intact, one with small damages
DIMENSIONS: h. from cm 26 to cm 18; diam. mouth from cm 21 to cm 12,5
