Madame Rhodia Dufet-Bourdelle confirmed the authenticity of this work in 1991. The copy of a letter, dated May 17, 1991, will be given to the buyer. She indicates that this head "is not that of [her] mother but that of the concierge of N° 7 ter of the impasse du Maine, today rue Antoine Bourdelle".
PROVENANCE
Collection of the painter Dyre Diriks (1894-1976), son of Karl-Edvard Diriks (1855-1930) and cousin of Edvard Munch (1863-1944).
Then by descent.
