Pierre Margotin Boulle marquetry table cartel... Lot 26

Pierre Margotin Boulle marquetry table cartel of brass richly decorated with gilded bronzes such as atlantes surmounting openwork claw feet with ram's head, frieze of flowers, fire pots and acanthus leaves. The dial is made of twelve enamel pieces indicating the hours in Roman numerals which stand out on a gilded brass background. Underneath in bronze the chariot of Apollo. Signature on the mechanism " Pierre Margotin, Paris ". Partly late 17th century, possible change in the mechanism. 56 x 37 x 18,5 cm
