A BLUE-GROUND ‘DRAGON’ SUMMER ROBE
China, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). Embroidered in silk and decorated with gold and polychrome threads on a dark blue ground with dragons and terrestrial diagram above lishui stripe, interspersed with auspicious symbols, clouds, and flying bats.
Condition: With extensive signs of wear and age, and numerous loose threads.
