A SMALL ’HUNDRED BUTTERFLIES’ PORCELAIN BALUSTER VASE China, Republic period (1912-1949) or later. The baluster vase rising from a recessed foot to a concave neck and everted rim, brightly enameled around the exterior with butterflies in flight, against a yellow ground printed with circular décor. Apocryphal Jiaqing reign mark to underside. With a silk storage box. Condition: Very good condition with minor wear. Provenance: German private collection. With an old invoice dated to June 15 1992.
