A GE-TYPE VASE, HU, LATE QING TO REPUBLIC
China, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). The well-potted vase with a globular body bearing two horizontally incised bowstring lines, rising to an everted neck and gently rounded rim, flanked by a pair of cylindric ‘touhu’ handles. Covered overall in a gray glaze and a network of dark gray and russet crackles, of archaistic design with intentional spur marks and two large perforations to the foot ring.
Condition: Very good condition with minor traces of wear and age.
