A PALE GREEN CLOISONNÈ ENAMEL VASE Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912) A fine baluster-shaped vase worked with silver wire and colored enamels to depict peonies and chrysanthemums, reserved against a pale green ground. The rims and underside applied with brass and copper. HEIGHT 24 cm Condition: The neck with extensive damage and the body with two nicks with associated hairlines. The base shows remains of silvering Provenance: Austrian private collection.
