A MUGHAL-STYLE SPINACH-GREEN JADE ‘CHRYSANTHEMUM’ BOX AND COVER
China, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). The gently rounded sides rising from a short foot, the bowl and cover both finely carved in the form of an open chrysanthemum flower. The appealing semi-translucent stone has dark green speckling and paler swirling inclusions.
Condition: Good condition with minor wear, the stone with natural flaws and microscopic fissures, some of which may have developed into small hairline cracks over time.
Provenance: Hungarian private collection. According to the current owner acquired from a private collector in France.
