Some tears to the cover. - CODE DU COMMIS-VOYAGEUR. Paris : publisher, 1830. - In-32, paperback. First edition of this work attributed by some to Honoré de Balzac. It ends with a "Commercial indicator of the main cities of France". Unclipped copy. Cover soiled. Spine of the cover torn and missing. Some foxing. - HISTORY OF POOR PARENTS. LA COUSINE BETTE. Brussels : Librairie encyclopédique de Périchon, 1846. - 4 volumes in-16, paperback. First Belgian preface. Covers faded, soiled, with tears and missing parts. Scattered foxing. - HONORINE. Paris : L. de Potter, 1845. - 2 volumes in-8, half blue cloth bradel, smooth spine decorated with a gilt fleuron, untrimmed (Ch. Knecht). First edition of 1844 with relay titles dated 1845, of this long novel by Balzac. Titles rebound, tears on the edge of several leaves, restored tears to the leaves of the second volume, book 20. Scattered foxing. - MAXIMES ET PENSÉES. Paris : Plon frères, 1852. - In-18, aubergine half-chagrin, spine ribbed and decorated, gilt head, untrimmed, cover and spine preserved (Foiry-Dombrowski). First edition of this selection of thoughts and maxims by Balzac, published two years after the author's death. Nice copy. Spine faded. Pencil marks in the margins. - MAXIMS AND THOUGHTS. Paris : Michel Lévy frères, J. Hetzel & Cie, 1856. - In-18, beige cloth with bradel, smooth spine, cover preserved (binding of the end of the 19th century). New edition. Binding soiled and stained. - SCENES OF PRIVATE LIFE. Paris : Madame Charles-Béchet, 1835-1834. - 3 volumes in-8 (of 4), half brown basane, smooth spine decorated, spotted edges (period binding). Partly first edition of the first series of the "Études de mœurs du XIXeme siècle". Volumes 2 and 3 are marked "Third edition", volume 3 is dated 1834. A good copy in contemporary binding, from the library of Eugène Scribe, with his bookplate. Volume 2 has the two announcement leaves at the end. The fourth volume is missing. Rare spotting. Freckles, sometimes strong. - CHAMPFLEURY. BALZAC AT THE COLLEGE. With a view drawn after nature by A. Queyroy. Paris: Librairie A. Patay, 1878. - Booklet in-18, paperback.
